Smart Campus CAD Dispatch Bridge

This connector enables Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems to directly trigger DJI Dock missions through FH2 API, and receive mission results back into the CAD workflow.

by Irving Zhang · Hexagon HxGN OnCall CAD

💡 Why You Need It

Emergency dispatchers need to send drones to incident locations as fast as they dispatch ground units. Without CAD integration, drone dispatch is a separate manual process that adds critical minutes.

🚀 Getting Started

1

Connect CAD system API credentials to the bridge

2

Define mission templates for each incident type

3

Test a CAD-triggered drone dispatch end-to-end

4

Configure result callback format for CAD records

Features

  • CAD incident triggers FH2 wayline mission via REST API
  • Mission completion callback with result summary to CAD
  • Dock availability check before dispatch
  • Configurable mission templates per incident type

📋 Use Cases

  • Emergency response: CAD operator dispatches drone to incident location
  • Campus patrol: scheduled missions triggered by CAD shift management
  • Situational awareness: live drone feed embedded in CAD incident view

⚠️ Known Limitations

  • Currently in draft stage — not validated in production
  • Requires HxGN OnCall CAD API access license
  • Only supports single-dock dispatch per CAD incident
